PLANEVIEW

International Airport Advertising Displays

Concept

Planeview is an innovative and ground breaking concept for the presentation of commercial advertising at airports worldwide.

Point of Difference

Airports currently use land side (public) areas to display advertising, such as terminals, car parks and land immediately adjacent to the airport boundaries.

The Planeview airport advertising concept enables suitable and approved areas within the airfield (air side) to be utilised to display advertising, namely adjacent to such areas as:

  • Taxiways & Runways
  • Aprons
  • Terminals
  • Perimeter fencing
  • Roadways, tunnels & overpasses

Current airport advertising can only be seen by the public prior to embarkation and after disembarkation and is unable to be seen by passengers once onboard the aircraft.

Planeview is not only able to be seen by the general public visiting the terminals, it also creates a new market by extending the availability of advertising to the previously untargeted audience of aircraft passengers during:

  • Take-off
  • Landing
  • Taxiing

Potential

Planeview has the potential to become a major global business as advertising airside is a potentially lucrative revenue stream not yet utilised by any airports. Planeview is a very attractive concept to airports, as it allows the diversification of income stream through the creation of non-aeronautical based returns, all with minimal capital outlay.

Development

The development of the Planeview airport advertising concept is well advanced. The potential commercial value and intellectual property of Planeview has been recently secured by Denann Consultant Services Pty Ltd through patents being granted in the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Greece, Republic of Ireland, The Netherlands, Turkey, and Italy.

In December 2020 new patent claims and specifications were lodged under the International Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) process covering enhanced and improved display methods including the use of modern technology control and display systems compared to those contained in the current granted patents. These new claims and specifications have PCT Patent Pending status and protection until June 2022. Beyond this date, patents granted in selected countries as chosen by Denann Consultant Services Pty Ltd for national protection coverage will be awarded patent protection until December 2040 backdated to December 2020.

A review of the ICAO (International), CASA (Aus), FAA (USA) and CAA (UK) regulations for the Planeview airport advertising concept use was undertaken by an independent aviation consultancy company, who concluded that there are no legal or statutory requirements that should prevent the installation of the Planeview airport advertising concept when assessed on a site by site evaluation by individual airports.

Planeview has the ability to be rolled-out expediently, in partnership with aviation experts or individuals with experience in aeronautical design and approval processes on airports.

In 2019 Planeview Airport International Displays Pty. Ltd. engaged Mr. Pierce Cody to introduce and market the benefits and potential of the Planeview airport advertising system to airport operators and their associated advertising media companies.

Pierce had founded Cody Outdoor in 1993 which went on to become the largest outdoor billboard / roadside operator in Australia, New Zealand and other places and also at airports in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra and also at Adelaide and Hong Kong airports. This company used the system in the early development stages at Sydney and Melbourne airports for the display of a large grass painted ground sign for AMEX.

Pierce is well known in the outdoor advertising industry and has decade’s long expertise and knowledge of its importance and benefits for marketing in the advertising world.

Business Proposal

Potential business opportunities for consideration are either to:

Purchase an exclusive licence for use of the patents:
Enter into a joint venture partnership with Planeview Advertising International Displays Pty Ltd for the roll-out of the concept; or
Purchase the patents outright.

The concept is well advanced and is expected to turn almost an immediate profit, followed by potential multi-million dollar profits in the following years as it is expanded into more countries and airports.
